KALSEY KULYK

Kalsey
has had a love of music since she was a toddler. At 3 years
old, she sang before a live audience of over 500 people. At
ages 4, 5, and 16, Kalsey donated her voice to help raise millions
for needy people on Saskatchewan's Telemiracle.
Participating
in singing competitions across Western Canada, Kalsey has won many
scholarships in numerous competitions.
In
her spare time, there is nothing she'd rather do than play the
guitar and write her own songs. In early 2007, Kalsey went to Bart
McKay's studio and recorded two original songs featured on her
website, www.kalseykulyk.com.
The site showcases Kalsey's incredible talent with her latest
music video and behind the scenes photos.
May,
22nd 2008, at age 16, Kalsey was diagnosed with cancer. It was a
stumbling block for her singing career, but it didn't stop her from
pursuing her lifelong dream of song writing. More inspired than
ever, Kalsey kept writing, to pen songs about her experiences, love
and positivity.
Now
that she is in remission, Kalsey has been playing at places like
Sunday Night at Hulbert's, The Center for Spiritual Living and
Marybeth's Café on Thursday nights.
Kelsey
is just getting back on her feet, but she's going strong as ever.
She hopes to fulfill her dream of becoming a professional
singer/songwriter. "Ever since I was a young girl all I've
wanted to become is a singer."

"Singing and song writing for me are
quite simply intimate acts of communion. The music that I share is an
expression of whatever I am learning or loving at any given time.
Later, after the overt experience of that learning has passed,
singing the songs reconnects me with the fundamental knowing within
them. The songs are a kind of medicine, a reminder of what is,
beneath all the surface activities in life. It's my hope that the
songs reconnect you with the same space they came from."
